WHEN IT RAINS is a Women’s Fiction story about Jessica Henry, a twenty-nine-year-old career woman and divorcee who lives a personal life full of dramatic turns, and it’s not much better at work. When her husband dumps her for being barren, and she starts dating gay guys, you’ll hit your forehead and moan, "Oh, no, Jessica. That’s not the way to deal!" When the rejection from being dumped puts such a big hole in her confidence that she accepts a horrible promotion, co-managing a region with her boss’s mistress, you’ll yell, “Now, that’s dumb.” Then, she falls for a prince who must produce a blood heir, or something awful will happen to him, you might cry. But, hey! Jessica is relatable. Like some of us, she makes the wrong decision or selects the poorest choice first. Jessica’s fears are displayed when coping with personal and career decisions. However, Jessica ultimately must confront everything she has tried to avoid when circumstances change. 

WHEN IT RAINS is not for the weak of heart or people under eighteen. It’s for people who’ve dealt with the pain and devastation of betrayal and disappointment in their lives while simultaneously navigating job issues like sabotage, terminations, insubordination, and sexual harassment. It also touches on job-related suicide.
